Different crops have varying light requirements, but universal principles include:
Daily Illumination Time: Recommended 14-18 hours to simulate a long-day environment.
Dark Period: Ensure 3-6 hours of darkness daily to allow plants to “rest”
Phase-based Adjustment: Increase the proportion of blue light during the vegetative growth phase to promote stem and leaf development. Increase the proportion of red light during the flowering and fruiting phase.
Light Intensity: Adjust according to the specific crop. For example, onions thrive under 20,000–40,000 lux.
